I’m always searching for the places where wild things still move freely. The Smoky Mountains are my home, and their streams hold some of the most extraordinary ecosystems I’ve ever encountered.
As a scientist with a background in ecology and biogeography, I’ve learned to see landscapes differently. I notice patterns, movement, relationships—how life persists and adapts in even the smallest pockets of water. Photography gives me a way to share those hidden worlds.
Outside of photography, I’m a scuba diver and ultrarunner, drawn to environments that challenge me and pull me deeper into the natural world. Whether it’s descending into open water or pushing through long miles on a trail, I’m always looking for that edge where curiosity and exploration meet.
